C32 Amg

Hello everyone, I have just purchased a C32 AMG and I am very curious as to the "break in" period. I have been told by the dealership that I can push it all the way? My friend who is a Car buff told me to relax with it because of the supercharger, etc... So with all these different answers I figured the best place to get an answer was here. Any help in this matter is highly appreciated.

thank you,
Chris

If you do a search (upper right hand corner), I'm sure you'll find an adequate amt of info. Just the normal though... try and vary the engine speed and vehicle speed. Don't keep it at the same speed for too long. From what I believe and have heard, it is ok to drive it a little hard during the first few thousand miles (gradually doing more), but don't over do it. Try and keep it to a minimum. That's all that I know of.
Congratulations on the purchase! And welcome to Mercedesshop!

Thumbs up

Benzo,

Congrats on your new purchase -- a beautiful car!

Have you consulted the owner's manual? There should be "break in period" information towards the front.

The increased precision in engines nowadays have decreased the length and need of a break-in period. Still, I believe the owner's manual states a break-in for the first thousand miles, unless that has changed recently. I would take it easy for the first thousand miles or so.

C32

Thank you guys for your help. Yes, the manual states 1000 miles for break-in( dealer told me different). I will definitely take it easy. On the lighter side, i must say that this is one beautiful machine inside and out. I will continue to post as time passes, once again thank you!!
