E420 Power Loss, Surges
I have a slight miss at idle and power loss that seems to go away at higher rpms. Occasionally, at idle in drive, the car sort of lurches a bit...with uneven idle.
Car has 44k miles, plugs look clean. Original caps, rotors. Any suggestions what to check? Thanks friends.

First thing to check would be the fault codes.

Reader...flashing light procedure or...
Ok, I would love to read the codes...I haven't had this E420 long, I had a 300D 2.5 before this one and had to read codes with a flashing light...is still the case on this 1994?
If so, any other suggestions of things to check without reading them? Thanks to all.

Yes, except that this car has a 38 pin diagnostic connector, without a pushbutton/LED, but does have an ancillary 8 pin connector that does have a pushbutton/LED. That where you should start - but try a search for more information on reading codes on the 38 pin connector. The original caps and rotors would certainly be a suspect.

Seems to do it after car is sitting for 2 days
An update, it won't do it twice in the same day, but will do it after the car sits for a couple of days...thanks friends.
