Dashboard lights stay on, even with key out
Hi there, i posted this question before but the thread died and i still have the issue with my 1992 400e w124 m119. I have gotten great advice on this board; I am relatively new to the MB world having owned this car for one year; i did drive a 1977 300d in college from 1990 to 1995 but it was my father's car, so he took it back.
Some of the interior lights stay on all the time (the driver's seat light memory light, the shifter light, the rear dome light button light (but not the dome light itself) and the rear headrest button light. They stay on even when the key is out of the ignition. So i pulled the fuse for them and now have no radio or hazard lights. I pulled the dash buttons (as has been suggested) but it had no effect. the rest of the lights stay on. i did not disconnect the seat or shifter lights yet. its mysterious and annoying so any clues might be helpful. btw, perhaps i should mention i have an issue with my seatbelt relay because the driver's side puddle light and the front dome light do no go on when the drivers side door is open, but do when the passenger's is. I never bothered to fix it. but this problem is new. thanks!
