w124- how do I remove the fan & water pump pulleys now that the bolts are out?

I'm practicing on my parts car to replace the tensioner shock, since my indie had to put a new one on my 1988 300ce before I shipped it to LA for my son. I've removed all bolts from the 3 pulleys. I searched the Forum and found a post explaining that the power steering pulley comes off if you tap it lightly, which I did. However, there's not so much tapping room around the other two pulleys, and the tapping I did today on the water pump pulley did nothing. Also, I noticed 2 small screws, either phillips or hex, on the inside of fan pulley, and I wondered if they should be removed. Thanks as always.
