S124 double roller cargo net/baggage cover
I searched but could not find a definite answer, my problem is I need to know how to install a W124 cargo net/baggage cover roller into the rear seat. I have the net itself I just got today, and two mounting blocks that supposedly install onto the rear seat. I can see how that works but I can't find any holes in the carpet area of the rear seat backrest. Is there an illustration to follow perhaps? I found two possible screw holes but I don't want to do anything until I am certain.
Also I'll probably need to install the other mounting bits, does anybody know how to install the roof mounts for the net itself? There are supposedly four, two right above the net in the standard position and two above the same net when the seats are folded down, closer to the front. I do know that I'll also need mounting points for the tailgate, but what I want to know is do I need to get a prefabricated panel or can I just use the old tailgate panel and just cut the necessary holes to install the mounts?

It's all a matter of following instructions and it's a bit scary cutting the headliner to find the threaded inserts.
Tailgate panel is scored on the back side--easy to cut out. The front mounts include a plastic eschutcheon plus the metal rail (two each). You need both. The kit of parts includes special threaded inserts to install into the seats. Procedure file is too big to attach here--PM me your email address.

Not a necro... just need info. So did you get to install the cargo net? Can you send me the instructions? I'm in the process of installing one myself. Thanks!

PM me your email, attachments have a limited size and will not accept the PDF file. I can send you the instructions.
Though admittedly, I have not yet installed the darn thing

Email sent.
It was advised to me to use the proper mounting screws/fasteners, because the pre-drilled holes are meant for those types of fasteners. I ordered all of them together with the brackets, etc... and they're still in the bag together with the roller blind.

Thanks! Got the pdf... I can't "feel" the cutouts on the rear backrest... are there versions where there are no cutouts? I doubt it, but I need to confirm before I start cutting the carpet. And if ever, is it possible that I already have the screw inserts? I do not know where to get some over here.

There are covers for the cutouts, you'll have to peel away the carpet to access the covers.
Hence my delaying this project, on top of peeling back the headliner.

The guide doesn't say anything about peeling back the headliner... did they over-simplify the guide? I tried feeling for the indents along the headliner... I couldn't pinpoint exactly where they were. I'll try gain tomorrow with the given measurements. The rear part of the headliner is easy to access... I've been there when I changed the hatch struts.

I don't remember what was in the instructions, I forgot if the headliner was going to be peeled or not. Definitely, the rear seat "carpet" will have to be removed to access the mounting spots after removing the plastic covers (that prevent you from feeling the mounting spots).
