c230 in Limp Mode

Hello All,

Yesterday, one of my battery terminals wriggled loose and killed power to the car. Upon restoring the connections my bas esp light came on and the car went into limp mode. The bas esp light has since gone away but the car remains in limp mode. Can a disconnected battery cause this type of occurrence? I read that common causes are wheel speed sensors and brake switches but this seems way too coincidental to be a sensor or switch. Any advice?

The steering angle sensor needs to be reset - turn the wheel from lock to lock, this will shut off the ESP light. If the engine is "hunting" when you start it, turn the key to engine run, but don't start it. Leave it in this position for a couple of minutes. This will re-learn the throttle position.

Thanks Eltee. I tried your advice with no luck. The car is a 2000 model and from what I've read on the forum, I may not be able to trick the car without taking it to a technician to have the computer cleared. Anybody else have recommendations before I head to the stealership?
