ATA module and K38 relay 95 E320 cabriolet

I need to disconnect my alarm and I need help on two issues.

1. Where is ATA module in my 95 E320 cabriolet? A search only led to confusion.

2. I've narrowed my search for the K38 relay to two relays next to each other behind the dash on the left side. Both relays have leads numbered 30 and 87 that must be jumpered so I can still start my car after I find the ATA module and disconnect it. One is blue (001 542 99 19) with three leads, the other is silver (001 542 02 19) with five leads. Which one do I jumper?

The K38 relay is a 5 pin silver relay.

ATA control unit is under the carpet(foor area) on the passenger side.

Where is the ATA module? This is what I see when I remove the carpet on the passenger side. The silver unit at the top of the photo is the climate control/idle speed control module (124 545 55 32). The black plastic on the right covers a bundle of wires. I believe the black plastic on the left is ductwork for the rear passenger comfort. The rest is floorboard.

Found it - thanks! I can add this control unit to my pile of defunct electronic modules from this car.

Maybe they changed it in '95 but in my '94 I find the ATA under an easily accessible cover on the RIGHT side after removing the CD exchanger, carpet, left board panel, metal panel, and unbolt the component with a heatsink on the LEFT side.

Here's the controller...

Pifcat2, is that for a cabriolet? I doubt it, because the CD magazine holder is on the left side on my model. Plus the part number (126-820-24-26) seems to be for a different chassis altogether.

Arthur, the unit in my left fender is PN A 124 820 19 89. I removed it, and I still have the alarm go off whenever it wants to. Google tells me this part is a radio amplifier. So as yet I still haven't found the alarm module for my 95 E320 cabriolet.

Oops.
The Ata control unit on a C124 cabriolet is IN the trunk next to the convertible top pump assembly.

It will have 2 electrical plugs & "Becker" electronics on the grey case.

Kestas,

Yes a Cabriolet, I just wanted to warn folks it's not on the left side as I thought you experienced while removing and disconnecting it. I found that out after removing the CD magazine on the left side and all the associated panels above the area behind the wheel.

I found it on the right side mounted on top of the metal panel and just behind an easily removable soft panel. It looks like the ATA in another thread and the number comes up for me as the alarm control unit here

I know you have probably seen this, and I think the location of the alarm is different in your car. but you might benefit from the pictures for your reference

Just for the record, you should be able to locate the ATA module in EPC . That is how i was sure I was disconnecting the correct part on mine....not very easy to find, but eventually you will see it.....

I have seen that thread to modify my K38, thanks!

The significant difference with the Cabriolets as mentioned is the ATA is located in the trunk on the right side above and behind the top pump.

Sedans ATA's are under the panel of the passenger footwell...
