I left this out, but don't the 16V have a special oil filter that nobody could get?! (Sorry I never change my oil before)

What ever you do, don't bring your car to Jiffy Lube, especially if it's a busy day for them. I once saw them put an oil filter on with a strap wrench, and cranked it on so hard the strap started to scrap the paint off the filter. As evryone knows your only supposed to use a filter wrench to remove the filter not put it on. It is suppose to be hand tightened about 3/4 of a turn after the filter gasket meets the seating surface. They also like to crack the living daylights out of the oil pan drain plug.

John, I dunno about that special oil filter for your 16v, you could try giving partsshop a call. Mauer's is expensive but by all accounts an excellent vintage shop. There are other places around there which will do an oil change, but I don't know how much they charge. European Import Auto or something in Hopkins/St. Louis Park and then there's another place in Golden Valley near Menard's. I live in Plymouth so it's not too far from you. You sure Mobil 1 0W-40 is the one you're seeing at Target? I gotta go check it out myself. Maybe I'm losing my mind
