Sorry guys been really busy and haven't had time to check everyone suggestions. Momma wanted new hardwood floor in our room..ha ha ha I have to make a confession on the starting with a plug out..It was on accident that I done that..I was trying to bring the piston up TDC to check the timing..ummmm forgot to unhook the coil.. (I hear you laughing Dave).. Anyways the pic of the cable you sent me Dave, is the same one I found pinched underneath the power steering...so you maybe on to something there..I didn't realize what that was..where is a good place to get MB parts online? |

If you get a chance, pull the CPS connector off at the Ignition Control Module and check the resistance of the CPS cable. Mine is 851 ohms cold and 924 ohms at operating temperature. Also check the ac output while someone cranks the engine...should be just under 1v ac.
