Sounds like the system is well gummed up with varnish from sitting so long....it will likely need at least a new fuel pump ....spilling some gas when changing the pump is unavoidable....you could pinch off the supply line from the tank with a hose-clamp...or, drain the tank ideally....and fill with fresh gas. Once you get the pump system going, try starting it again, if it won't run....start it on starting fluid and keep feeding it so it can idle/run....after a while it will probably manage to get going on its own....then, run some good fuel injection cleaners (redline SI-1) with that fresh fuel in the tank....and drive it hard for a while....should clean it up.
And I sure hope you have already changed the engine oil and filter before running it after sitting so long!
