thinkin of selling my 1995 e320 convertible...worth?
i want to know what the fair market value is of a 1995 e320, my dad is the origional owner. it has only 23,450 miles on it and ALL the service records are intact, as well as the origional sticker. it is white with the blue interior, the only thing not origional is the stereo, as the factory one broke. I am being told it is worth only 5g, but i see them on ebay going for arond 10-20. there was never any body work done, and the car is in showroom shape, should i just keep it? or does anyone know where to sell the car?

That should be worth WAY more than 5 grand, at least in my opinion. But it really depends on you finding the right buyer. Personally, I don't like that color scheme. The ones that fetch top dollar seem to be burgundy or green or black with parchment interior, I have even seen smoke silver with brown interior that looks fantastic. White with (I'm guessing) the dark blue interior looks somewhat dated. What color is the top?
A picture is worth a thousand words...

To the OP: You will be taking a hit for the color, which is not the most desired, (dark blues, reds, and blacks are best) but out here the cheapest ones go for $8-9,000, and they are NOT in top shape... But with the provenance, low mileage and records, I think the low $20,000s to low $30,000s would be ballpark. I think into the $40,000s is over ambitious in this economy, frankly. Spend $325 and get it professionally appraised.....for a good idea of its true market value. A good appraisal will have comps. too. Best place to market it would be the SL Market letter, Robb report, the Mercedes Benz Club America magazine, where the TRULY serious money for truly good cars, spends. Good luck

thanks for all the posts, i appreciate the help. im unsure about selling the car, the more i drive it, the more i like it....like all mbs, however with an expanding family im unsure if the convertible with the small backseat is practical....ill post pics of the finished, detailed benz when im done.

After you have your lady drive it for a week, you'll never get it back. Keep it for you and her and get a 94-95 e320 Wagon for the expanded family trips.

white with a blue top would be one of the MOST desirable colors here in the midwest. i think the desired colors change with the time zones.

White with blue is fairly desireable in the South. With it's low miles, you might as well keep and enjoy the thing for awhile. It won't lose value.

Hmmm... I currently live in the south, but am originally from the midwest (Chicago), and the white/blue color combo always seemed to sell for much less in my experience. But different strokes for different folks...

I was just reading the current issue of "The Star" the Mercedes Club magazine. They featured a 95 E Cabrio, the body style was available in 93,94,95 and about 6,000 made it to the US. The origional purchase price was about $84,000. This fellow paid $23,500, and it was in great condition with 41K miles a year ago. I would smack the person who told you $5k upside the head. These cars are demanding a premium since it is a four seat convertible. I would hold it, dont abuse it, and find an origional radio for it, the purists will pay top dollar.
