I'm going to give it a try but I still need to find 5 volts. I have a computer power supply I can use but now you got me thinking that I want to try to drive with this energized and de-energized to see how it works.

No ESP is not running. Everything electrical for ESP is connected except for the pump, hydraulic unit and steering angle sensor. All 4 wheel speed sensors are in place and operational and the ESP computer is installed and wired as well as yaw rate and accelerometers. Possibly this winters project.
