To finish this, I finally got around to exposing the blower motor and I throughly cleaned the filters. (They blow off and wash quite nicely if you want to save about $40). Then I spliced in and ran a wire from the blue connection on the motor to the dash, where I installed a good toggle switch and from there to a good ground. Wow, when I flip that switch do I have air now! When I had the blower exposed I did a strobotach test and at low speed it turned up 3200 rpm and now, at the grounded high speed, it turns 6400 rpm. Running that wire was not at all a fun thing to do but it surely worked. Thanks for all the help.
