W202 Cutting out

1999 C230 Kompressor 179K, When I go to pass someone and step on the Accelerater I feel the car starting to cut out and lose of power. Sometimes if you back off of it it will smoth out. I have pulled the car over and when it comes to a stop it is like it is running on 2 cyclinders. Never throne a code of any kind. If I turned it off and restart it it runs fine. I had someone making a turn in front of me so I slowed down and after they made there turn I steped on the Accelerater and it started cutting out just about to die at the stop sign. Turned of the key and it ran fine. Car has had all of its Services. Help and thanks for the Help.

It is hard to believe there is no code if it runs like that.

I would have expected a code.

If its missing, I would vote for a coil.

If it is bogging, I would vote for the MAF - but MAFs ussually throw a code.

I would start by changing the suppressor plugs and spark plugs and use the RIGHT spark plugs A0031597803 or A0031597303

Thanks for the reply's. Suppressor Plugs ? Not sure what that is. I would think that if it were Spark Plugs that after you turn the car off and restart it it would run the same ruff. When I turn the car off and restart it it will run fine.
