1998 E320 WAGON

Hello again gang
The back hatch on my wagon had been hit, thats why I got it for cheap. It seems to be stuck shut.Any suggestions on getting it open. I have found a replacement with no damage, but I need to get the old one off. Any help would be awesome. This forum is so great. All it takes is patience.

Thanks again
Bob

Well... I would start by looking at the undamaged door... I would then decide upon where I used the sawzall, hacksaw, dremel, and increasingly less violent methods of cutting metal as I got closer to the body of the vehicle.

you could try removing the inner paneling(with or without prejudice) and seeing if you can't manually actuate the latch.

^This right here, I would refrain from cutting, banging, kicking until absolutely needed
