Sorry to hear about more troubles Lyle - you're the 2nd forum member to hit a deer that I know of this autumn...
If you can take a photograph of the damage I'm sure you'll get lots of "that'll buff out" advice - but you never know the existing panel could be saved. In my limited experience of replacing panels I think it is usually better to stick with what you've got - but that may not be the case.

Not to say, the deer prolly died later on off the road, 50Mph is kind of a hard hit for anything, Sorry to hear about your car though, Check out a local junk yard or two, chances are you can get body panels etc relatively cheap

Me too, last year ...
I hit one in my 300CE. It rolled up over the bonnet, up the windscreen, over the roof, on to the boot and down to the road on the left side.
Then it ran into a field and disappeared. I kept an eye on it but lost it on the other side of a field. We did try tracking it as it would have provided great meat for a number of dinners but we lost it. Damn. Anyway, no visible damage to the car at all! It was about a 30 mph incident. RayH |
