Identifying wire in door W140 (S class)

I have been trying to figure out the problem of my locking/unlocking of all doors via key or remote. I finally found a cut wire in my driver door. I believe it is the same for the passenger door. The previous owner had a aftermarket alarm that was un-installed when I bought the car. I believe they had cut the wire for the installation.

My question is, where does this wire plug into? What is the wire for? Is it hard to replace? I have attached a photo of the wire, it is the wire my middle finger is touching. The wire goes into the door and I pulled it out of the bottom hole to show the cut wire. It consists of 5 or 6 wires...

Any help is appreciated.

What color wires in the bundle? Does everything on the door work?

I attached a photo of the wires. I get no response from Infra Red, no central locking via door keyhole. The key only unlocks/locks the door's lock and not all 4. I can't close windows by turning the key. My guess is this wire goes and plugs into the door handle? Which is where infra red signals, signals to lock/unlock all door locks, signal to roll up windows come from?

I couldn't find a part number anywhere on the harness. Maybe it was on the other end that was cut off or maybe (what I fear) is that it is part of a bigger wiring harness which probably goes all the way to the PSE pump...in that case I might have to re-wire the door with new wiring and some how source the connector plug to do so. Not sure, thats why I am asking.

yup, i think that wire goes to the locking cylinder which triggers the locking/unlocking and rolling up of windows. At least that's how it is with the 124. I do have a w140 that is currently "interior-less"... i can trace that wire for you when i get home... only ISSUE is, my car didn't come with the infra-red control thing... though i'm pretty sure the trigger for lock/unlock/window is the same. will let you know in 3 days. i'm working OT

they probably cut it so the alarm module doesn't get confused. they wired it in such a way that the module has total control over the locking pump.

That'll be great if you could do that for me, thanks so much. 3 days is fine, I won't be working on the car until parts come in anyways.

I am sure they cut it so it doesn't interfere as well. I'm not sure why they didn't just disconnect it. I will be doing my door lock actuator probably this coming Friday or Saturday, I will try to find out where the plug goes into, hopefully the connector is there so if I need to, I can just re-wire it.

I've sourced the door harness. The picture attached is the plug that had been cut off of my harness. It has 5 holes. Question now is where does it plug into?
