I"d suggest starting with Fastlane (link at top of page) and email with the correct part nos.
Other sources include: Parts.com buymbparts.biz dealers that advertise in MBUSA magazine such as Anaheim MB your local dealer Don't forget you'll need Tinnerman clips and screws for mounting the panels. Good luck. |

Plastic undercover shield for W201
I have the undercover shield that came off my 1992 190E 2.6. It is in excellent shape - a little dirty and greasy. It is a BIG piece of plastic!!! Let me know if you want it.

Those are NOT skid plates!
They are encapsulation panels that help smooth the air flow and minimize turbulence under the car, as well as keep sand and other minor debris out of the engine compartment. It's useful for what it does, but it's not a "skid plate." We had a custom skid plate fabricated from heavy-gauge aluminum for our stage rally racer, to help us bounce over rocks, logs, small- to medium-size animals and other such impediments to speed found out on the stages. It protects the oil pan and transmission in the front, and we have another one in the rear to protect the fuel pump. What are you trying to accomplish? Best Regards, Rob

I have a used encapsulation panel. It carries p/n 201 540 XX 23 (the XX position numbers are not readable). Its from a 1986 190D. Also have 4 clips (new) that snap into the chassis. With luck I may be able to find the screws/washers that held it. $44 includes shipping in the contUSA.

The encapsulation panels really do help keep dirt and such out of the engine bay and smooth airflow out for sure. I'm putting my W124's back on soon after I fix one of the broken clips that goes into the chassis.

Will the '86 190D part fit a '90 190E? The post from MTI doesn't mention a p/n with '540' after the 201 in the sequence.
