Fault Codes W210 E430

Hi People its my first post on here, im from over the pond in England (dont hate me)

i have been searching on my local forums in uk but no one seems to understand about my E430.

i have the following faults come up which were diagnosed by Mercedes shop:

B1010 - Supply voltage of the control unit - Battery? i have a new one but maybe not strong enough?

B1147 - Output Terminal 15 has short circuit - does anyone know what and where this is?

C1022 - Fault in CAN communication with Control - i assume this maybe related to either of the above?

As the E430 is a V8 there are not many around in the uk and most are not sure about them but i thought maybe i ask over here

Any Help would be greatfully recieved - i have heard about "Whunter" as someone mentioned it to me.

Thanks for any help
Mark

Love England! and welcome...you guys do have the steering wheel on the RIGHT side!

What is the actual issue with the car?

Sure looks like a power supply problem, like the alternator isn't charging OR the battery is weak.

Hi mbdoc, thanks yeah thats us! we want to be different to the rest the (what seems) of the world

Well everytime i start the car the ESP BAS & Antilock flashes up on the dash,
Plus i seem to have the limiter kicking in at just over 4k revs in every gear. if i put the kick down it rev's too high and the limiter kicks in again.

i took it to MB and the diagnostic showed up the above problems.

i know about the ABS will reduce torque if it is not working properly but is it that or something else? could it be gearbox issues???? i changes fine so cant be that surley?

The 1st 2 codes are BODY codes and have little OR no bearing on the ESP/ABS issue.

The code C1022 is a ESP/ABS code, just a comm error with the fuel computer..

Any engine or trans codes? they start with a P.

Codes that start with a B are Body codes,
codes that start with a C are Chassis codes, &
codes that start with a P are Powertrain related.

i did have x2 other ones but they were mass air flow which i have done also intake air temp sensor which i wasn't bothered about as its only the onboard temp on the cluster right?

other than that these are the codes left on my list to sort out.

its the C1022 code im bothered about. i know there is a reluctor ring around the hubs? is that right which do rust up and cause problems?

im running out of ideas but this C code is the one i want to eliminate most. i tried resetting the ecu by unplugging the battery but no joy there.
