W124 Question for those in South re: steering wheel

Question really for anyone in hot climate. 2 of my W124s including present one have had steering wheel cover break free/slip from frame such that it can "twist" (similar motion to a motorcycle accelerator). Maybe prior owners had a lot of stress in their lives or maybe the adhesive fails in the heat ??

Has any body had any luck with a fix?? (injection of epoxy somehow?) (Never had a problem with W123 cars.)

Also, similar problem with door map holder covering coming loose/pulling back at top-inside part. Any fixes from anyone on this?

All help appreciated.
