1984 230e (European Import) manuals and Support

I was just recently given a 1984 230e (European Import) I am new to the Mercedes cars but have a little mechanical experience. One problem that I have with the car is that it won't start. I have trouble shot the concern and belive that it is the fuel filter or fuel pump. I don't have a Service manual so I have been doing an on line research and I have yet to find a good service manual or a good parts source. Any help would be appreciated.
