A simple question about MB part numbers, MBZ, M22?
Ok here goes, 1st time post (so take it easy) about perhaps a really obvious question out there.
Been wanting to buy some parts off Pelican and I can see MB part numbers with either MBZ or M22 designation at the end. I have searched around and have no idea what they mean? Thought it could be OEM or 2nd tier Supplier or something. Can anyone help out or explain what this means? (Because if it doesn't really matter, the parts I want will be cheaper!) Thanks. |

Most Mercedes Benz repair part nos. look something like - A xxx xxx xx xx where the x's are numbers. Part nos. beginning with other letters are usually for items like owners manuals and branded accessories like pens, umbrellas, etc.

Ok thanks.
I see alphas at the end of the part numbers with the same part number. For example; 124-589-182-100-MBZ 124-589-182-100-M22 A W124 sunroof lifting arm I can get in MBZ or M22, a $20 difference and quite a few parts I want are like this including the sunroof rubber seal. I want to be careful about ordering the right part |

Since the part nos. are the same, I would be pretty sure they will fit. M22 might be alternate supplier.
