190E Removing rear door window regulator question?

I have my right rear door window regulator ready to pull out on my '93 190E, but I don't see any way to disconnect the 2 wires going to the motor. Do you cut the wires or what. In a picture of the new part I see online, it shows the green and black wires coming off of the motor but no connector.

The grey plastic guide on the vertical channel broke on one side....so I suppose I'll have to replace the whole unit. Everything lately has been plastic or rubber related failures.

Any tips/recommendations?

Thanks

If they are the metal tubular looking ends, they go up to the switch connector, you take the connector apart and slip the 2 old ends out and put in the new ends. What works good so the wires don't all pull out, is to take the cap off the back of the connector with it plugged in to the switch, then pull the correct ones out only, the rest will stay attached to the switch.

Well that worked and I removed the window regulator.

Has anyone had good luck using Dorman window regulator assemblies? The dealer wants $465 plus tax.

I was in a dealership so never had an option on parts usually. Sometimes, but not usually.
That said have you tried eBay or checking a non-dealer source such as Pelican Parts (this site)? No gain on my part but they do provide this forum.

Am wondering if the guide they show as a seperate part is what broke.

I see a few price options on the whole assembly at Pelican Parts also, hopefully this link works:
