Stalling with a twist on a 300TE
Any idea on this stalling problem with a twist on a 1990 300TE guys….
The problem appears to happen after the car has been running for 20 minutes and some times soon after when the car has been switched off and on again. The engine will tick over normally until the car is moved ,it will even stall if the car is in neutral and pushed a few feet backwards or forwards. I have already replaced the following items already: 1.OVP 2.ECU Temp Sensor Any help gratefully received |

Could be a number of things, but I had the same problem on my car. Turns out that my fuel pressure regulator was going south. Try checking your fuel pump first (change the filter while you're at it), then go downstream to the fuel relay, etc. Hope its something simple.

Thanks I give that a try?..
As an after thought I have been able to stop it stalling by adjusting the throttle cable so that the linkage arm is no longer in contact with the idle / runon micro switch ( which checks out OK) this appears to allow the engine to run at a normal tick over without the stalling problem? Simon |
