Question What ATF are members using for 722.4xx transmissions (1990 190E 2.6)

I was using DexMerc ATF, but then realized it was for vehicles calling for Mercon IV and I searchedd all the local autoparts store and couldn't find anything that was for Mercon II or III. I looked at the Autozone store brand and it said it was for vehicles calling for Mercon II and III so I got that. Bad idea. After about a month I noticed that my transmission was revving high at take off from a stop (slipping). So today I decided to drain out a liter or so and added some Lucas transmissision anti-slip to it. When I got the fluid out I poured it into a clear water bottle to check it and it was not burned, but it had the viscosity of water! It was not even close to being viscous at all. So now I would like to know what brand of fluid are other members using for their similar transmissions?
