R129 300-24 new to the forum

Hi to all , new to this site , I am looking to have mutual contacts with fellow fans of R 129 cars my 1991 300-24 valve is suffering from a few common faults

Leaking oil from timing chain cover around u shaped seal , I have it striped down and I am in the process of doing it my self after bad experience with a indie.

. The pice showing one on here has been my guide, any thoughts on the valve solenoid, ? it was very gummed up, I am wondering if this my be the cause of my other problem intermittent hesitation on acceleration , I will be changing the fuel filter, as a possibility , the Indy said it was the throttle switch , I have bought one from Germany ready to fit holding back until good weather new Indy seems to think it could be fuel settings .
