Driving during a severe storm threat today things let up for awhile. When I slowed my windshield wiper speed something happened and all of a sudden the wiper, she only has the one - centered, started touching a little above the top of the windshield and a lot under the passenger side piece molding.
The noise drove me crazy enough that I eventually stopped and put in a smaller sized wiper just to end the flopping noise of rubbing against that side molding.
Then the wipers stopped functioning all together about mid way of the windshield. Not even a ghost of an attempt to spray windshield washing fluid!
Needless to say I made it home, the last five or so miles, without any windshield wipers. My assumption, Lord I despise that word, is that I have blown a fuse. However it is pouring outside so I am not in the correct temperament to check fuses at the moment.
Any known history with this type of thing happening? Where should I begin my diagnostic/repair journey?
Thanks,
