I'm of the opinion that there's little point in buying / finding that tool for removal. If they are anything like the W123/!26 rear axle tool (similar design) I wouldn't risk using the tool for removal - the pins on the socket seem to me to be pretty weak...

Been doing that and not getting anywhere. At that I'm fighting the parking pawl because the flange spins freely :/

You'll still be fighting a turning yoke with the tool. Once you get the yoke fixed in something it will come good after you've removed most of the peening on the nut.
