Question Where is the Freon hiding ????

02 W208 CLK is hiding freon when car is not running. Pressure on start up is to low to engage compressor. shows 7 bar on climate control screen display. Once I reset the system either on the panel or using carsoft It starts working and shows 13-14 bar! When I serviced it I used R134a with dye. After using a vacuum pump to evac it it held the vacuum, got it running, checked everything with black light no leaks found, very cold AC when running and gauges look good when running weird

It calls for 1.87393 #LBS or 850G so I recharged with 2 #LBS.
It is also right on the money when operating. As Indicated by R134A pressure temp charts.

7 bar is plenty of pressure to satisfy the low-pressure cutoff switch. If the system isn't starting I don't think it has anything to do with insufficient static pressure.

Not sure what you mean by 'hiding freon', the 7 bar static pressure and 13-14 bar running pressures sound totally normal to me. In a non-leaking system the total amount of refrigerant doesn't change, the percentage of the refrigerant in liquid vs gaseous state changes quite a bit.

Google PV=nRT for the relevant specifics....

found faults

Looks like I have found the problems
Most of the time it would only fault B1241 (low refrigerant) This caused confusion since it was not low.
This time I got the intermittent faults causing the problems B1232 & B1233 these are the freon press sensor and freon temp sensor ....................
So I ordered a rec drier and the 2 sensors I will report back after install.
