Your transmission may have the problematic input/output shaft bushing, and if so, I would feel better using a thicker 236.10 fluid. The bushing was replaced with a roller bearing, I believe some time in '99, and I would be comfortable using the thinner fluids on the modified transmission.

The chrysler ones have the larger nag with the roller bearing and a few modifications on the clutch packs. Nothing too big. They still have the same leaking issues of the pilot bushing an also the electrics plate that mercedes have.
Chrysler fill them with ATF+4 and they work great, even behind the high torque hemi v8 engines. Their shifting program is different tho. You can slightly feel the shift kick in them, in MB you just the rpm needle drop.
