What is this green spring and its location?

On my 1994 Mercedes E320 wagon, I tried to removed the transmission rear case housing, removing all nine bolts. It was stuck due to the kickdown solenoid bolt was in the way (on the right side bottom of the transmission rear case facing me). So I removed the bolt from the kickdown solenoid and the transmission rear case housing was removed with ease. Then I notice something on the ground. There is a green spring that appears out of nowhere. Where does the green spring come from? I am guessing that this green spring came out of the kickback solenoid after I removed the bolt that I did not noticed it? If that is true, should I replace this green spring with a new one or could I bent it back into its regular shape without no harm, no foul? If I need to replace this green spring, what is the part name and number so I can order a new spring online? See the pictures. A diagram of the parts location would be helpful. Any comments, feedback and/or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all for reading this post.

Looks a lot like the springs that are in the foam (?) AC condensation drain tubes that run from inside the car through the tunnel and insulation that's above the transmission on my '96.

On my W210 that insulation above the transmission was collapsing and sitting on top of the transmission so I ripped it out (dirty, dusty job). While doing that I destroyed one of those drain tubes, and there was a spring inside it that looks exactly like what you have there but was white. I replaced that tube with regular ole rubber hose from my scrap hose pile.

gmog220d, Thank you for last post. I appreciated it. Sorry for the late response.

I believed you are correct because I remembered pulling that awful loose bits and pieces of the transmission tunnel insulation and this spring came out of nowhere.

At this time, the mercedes is at a body shop to repair some of the damage to the undercarriage. The repairs needed are far above my skill level. I will follow up on this. Stay tune.

A little longer, a few more coils, but here's what the one from my car looks like (why do I keep stuff like this?):
