outside of box - break pump

Hi I have 1994 E280 station wagon. The vehicle has been professionaly re-powered with OM603 couple of years ago. Its an automatic transmission. Putting the Diesel engine in resulted in a need to create a vacuum for the auto transmission to work properly and later to bleed the vacuum through a valve. I understand there can be 12v electric pump installed to do the job. I was advised that the proper way to do it would be to utilise a break pump to do so instead together with using another solenoid to make it all work . Anyone has got any experience with the subject ? any info, lead etc really appreciated PS I am not a mechanic , bare with me ) Cheers Too
