I just had my 300e head gasket replaced, and the head was sent to a machine shop to check for damge or cracks, the head came back fine..and the the motor is re-asembled, but my mechanic is having difficulty on remembering how the serpentine belt is put back... to make a long story short the belt was back on the car, but now my altenator isnt charging the battery, and the betl is looped on the altenator, my question is could the problem be, that teh serpentine belt isnt "snaked" through correctly causing the altenator to spin in reverse , hence not charging my battery... any suggestions, comments? thanks for your time....! : )
