Good afternoon.
Running into a dead end with my 1999 E320. Need to replace the hoses due to slow leaks and parts listings do not match the configuration on my car. The pressure hoses, as installed, from Pump to Rack and Rack to Cooler have opposite ends as the parts listings on any sites. And opposite of EPC Diagram! Ordered and Received the Pump to Rack hose and it has the Rack end that is shown on parts listings for the Cooler to Rack and vise versa. Listings for the Rack to Cooler show an open end hose that slips onto the cooler pipe. Not sure if prior owner changed these and installed them on opposite ports on the Rack (look like original hoses) or my car is an atypical unit. I am assuming that the hoses cannot be attached to the Rack in the opposite location? Can't find any other help...... Thanks, Sam |

I would take the existing hoses to a hydraulic shop and have them replace the hoses. They will reuse the MB fittings.

btw - the return side of the system is low pressure and has hoses with hoseclamps.
