722.9 fluid level adjusting

I know the temperature and procedure to check and adjust fluid level in a 722.9 transmission both regular 7gtronic and 7gtronic+

Ive noticed that with the car on a lift, the rockerpanels show that they are level but the transmission pan is not, its sort of tilted backwards, has anyone noticed this while working on vehicles with the same transmission. I would assume that the transmission was to kept completely perpendicular to set fluid level.

This maybe of help to folks who rely on a set of jackstands and a spirit level to diy the transmission fluid on their 7 spd auto.

Procedure is probably based on the car being level rather than transmission being level. They would be crazy to specify a car angle to service the transmission fluid.

I have even wondered why the make the filled level seem so critical. There seems to be at least a couple of inches in that pan of fluid.
