rh inner fender, there's a 3 or 4 post electric junction block. look for a purple wire, that's the feed from the ignition switch joined with the wire to the starter solenoid. when it's hot and won't crank, jump a wire from the battery positive to the purple wire. still won't crank? very likely it needs a starter. best test is to check for voltage at the solenoid when cranking hot and make sure 12v is getting there but it's hard to reach.
if you did that and don't have 12v at the solenoid, then you have to backtrack and look for broken wire or a bad ignition switch. i've replaced dozens of those switches and never had to for what you describe. my money's on the starter. good luck, chuck.
