Gas tank swap wuestion

I have been searching for a tank for my 1997 E420 will a 0606TD diesel tank work from a w210 anyone use that swap - thanks for your help

You would have to verify part numbers or post the VIN numbers from both cars here so either myself or someone with credentials to do so can verify the tank part numbers for you.

Off the cuff, I would side with no as your E420 will have fuel EVAP where the diesel 210 wont.

Vin numbers Gas tank Swap

Thanks for the advice I would greatly appreciate if you or one other members could look at these vins to see if the part would work
1997 E420 # wdbjf72f4va311444 the donor # is Wdb2100251a764061 thanks for your help

If both the donor and recipient vehicles are the same chassis, e.g., both are sedans, or both are wagons, then physically the tanks should interchange.
There could be vent connection differences between fuels.

Both VIN's come back with part number 210 470 55 01 - Selection assumed for the Xentry parts catalogue was that both cars are USA spec, valid for California.
