The triangle is about $16 USD new from Germany...I don't know what I was thinking when I said it was close to $70 !! Sorry.

Bracket from a US dealer is about $6...they list the part for 400Es but not the 500Es ...wierd. I'm pretty sure its the same for all W201/124s though.

Install looks good doooode...thanx for taking the time to share the pics; makes it easier for the rest of us.:)

Did you get it? I bid one one and requested total from the seller, but never got any reply from him.

Hey guys...I'm having a bunch of stuff sent from Germany....if anyone wants a new OEM triangle...let me know; I'll tack it onto my order. I'm already getting one for myself and a few friends....I don't mind getting more since they're pretty cheap. Call it $20 plus a few for shipping. :)

I have not had any communication issues and my triangle should be here today (heard from seller yesterday) but it will arrive with no mounting clip, so will have to get one from the stealership.

Jim, that's cool of you to do!

Are you buying the mounting brackets at the same time... either from Germany or maybe a bulk order of brackets from PartsShop?I assume everybody that wants a triangle will need a bracket too.

Sign me up either way, though. Thanks!

No biggy...a few more doesn't matter. I don't mind...but I'd like to keep it under 10 though...about 7 now.

Mounting bracket you can get thru Phil I'm sure...its real cheap like Phast says....probably like a buck at a junkyard if you can find one. :)

Jim, sent you a PM. Thanks.

My triangle arrived today (along with a strong smelling air freshner, keyring and some propaganda). The triangle is in fairly good condition given the fact its over 10 years old. Had to clean it up a bit. So if anyone wants a used traingle, the link I posted earlier proves this guys good to his word.

Now I just need a mounting bracket!

The triangle's part number is 140-590-0212 and when sourced through the local MB stealership it is $65 (wholesale is $52) I picked up mine from a UK Mercedes parts seller http://www.stores.ebay.co.uk/dronsfieldsmercedespartsshop for $8.35 plus another $15 or so for shipping.

If anyone is considering this triangle, you should have Jim get you one for $17, thats a steal for a new one.

Part number for the bracket is 140-890-0014 and it works on the W201 as well as the W124
