This worked for me as a temp fix.... push the switch to move the window down, pull the window up manually if you can, then try to push the switch to raise the window. Sometimes the riser will latch under the window and hold it up.

My W126 has a cheap plastic part linking the raising arm and the window (wit the rivet mentioned above). Easy to replace, I had to take out the window regulator to flatten out the new rivet.
