I agree. You have to begin to conquer and divide. Do the basics as I mentioned. Eliminate the electrical, then go to the fuel. Don't neglect the small vacuum lines. These can also kick you in the butt !!!

My wife's 2.6 ran like a dog off the line also. I previously had some platinum plugs in them. After reading several posts on the issue, I replaced the plugs with copper ones and also replaced the O2 sensor since it was getting horrible gas mileage.
Now it goes off the line and the gas mileage is back to normal.
