yes radio does need reset- and replacing hoses and lines are a great idea- but some are different, and sometimes you open up a leaky pandora's box.

I have a 1996 C280. Wife was driving down the highway at about 55 mph and it started cutting out. She pulled over and it basically stalled. When trying to start, it would turn over then stall. Very much like it was out of fuel. (tank was just filled btw). Definitely sounds like a fuel delivery problem. What's weird is that the next day (after the car was towed home), it started right up and drove fine!
Before I go out an spend a bunch of money I want to run this by you folks: 1. Replace the fuel pump relay 2. Replace the fuel filter 3. Replace the fuel pump??? The relay and filter are only around 50 bones total so I want to do that before investing 150 in a pump. Now onto to my question..... WHERE IS THE FUEL FILTER LOCATED? Is it in the engine compartment or near the relay (Trunk area)???? Thanks in advance! Cy |
