Realigning a steering column

I bought my 450SEL used. Looks like it was in a collision at some point.

As a result, the steering column is a few degrees off center . . . as you look at the steering wheel straight on, it points 5 degrees or so toward the left rear tire, rather than straight back toward the rear of the car (hope I'm explaining this clearly ).

I'd like to correct this misalignment. Any opinions on what needs to be done? My mechanical skills are average.
