Low oil pressure reading hot

My 1990 190e 2.6 just started reading low to zero oil pressure at idle when warmed up in drive. I get 1/2 bar in neutral. Sometimes the reading is about 1/4 bar sometimes a hair above zero in drive warmed up. I suspect the gauge or sending unit. The oil pressure was fine at 1 bar all the time until a week ago. The oil has been changed every 3000 miles and the engine is a virgin at 240,000k. I don't think yhe oil pump will break down that fast, I will change the oil and see what happens. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
