Bumper replacement

Hello, Smurtaza. I am getting ready to replace mine this week. Are you talking about the strip or the whole bumper.? I have a crack in the lower portion of my bumper, I had planned on removing the whole bumper and taking the bumper to the paint shop to have them fix the crack and then paint the whole bumper.. I believe that you can remove the strip once you get the bumper off..

I was told by the dealer that the bumper had to be removed when I had to replace my front bumper strip.

But the strip is only held on by small clips, and once you get the temp sensor and license plate mount out of the way, you can pry one of the ends off the bumper with a flat blade screwdriver. Grab that end by the hand and YANK!

The remainder of the strip will come right off cleanly! That will save you an afternoon of work!

Reinstallation is simple because the new strip will just snap into place where the old strip formerly resided.

Total time: 1 hour!
