240D Running Hot

Recently, my 1982 240D had begun to run hot. As soon as I saw this, I ordered a new thermostat and radiator cap. I flushed the coolant and refilled the system with a 70/30 water MB Antifreeze mixture. Upon filling up the system, I made sure that the coolant/water mixture came out of the bleed tube in the upper radiator hose. The car still runs hot, just under the 100 degrees C mark. I searched and searched this forum without any luck. I read through all of the threads and there doesn't seem to be a solution. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks!
