4matic front driveshaft boot question

4matic front driveshaft boot question

I have a bad inner boot on the drivers side on the front axle.
Do i have remove the axle completely to change the inner boot ?
If so, are there any thing to consider except from just unbolting it ?

300E 4M -89 ,5 speed
