Key won't turn, Help!
'01 SLK320, I took out the dash and unpluged the module behind the dash (the one that hooks to the ring around the key) then put everything back together
Now the key will go in the ignition, the remote will lock and unlock but the key won't turn. Am I just stupid or what? It's in park and all modules are original to the car. This is my first Mercedes and I've only had it 5 days so please bear with me as I ask a lot of stupid questions. |

No special key. Just a flip out metal thing on a remote deal. I feel dumb because the fix was so simple yet I thought it was some special MB security thing.

same thing happened on my mom's volvo. I think a lot of cars do that if the steering wheel is under a lot of pressure.
