I have a 1992 500SL. I started the car this morning and the climate control system was "dead". The fan did not come on, there was no response whatever. There had been no hint of a problem prior to today. Any ideas about the cause/solution?
Possibly related, there has been an occasional high pitched whine on startup that I could never relate to anything. Thanks, JR |

After checking the fuse, my first item to test would bbe at the 3-pin connector going down to the blower motor/regulator. It is mounted near the brake booster, red/yellow/black wires if my memory serves me right. Yellow is the control voltage from the ACC pushbutton module. Red & Black are battery voltage.
