
My tech and I have completed a recent head job on the 230TE (W124 chassis, M102 engine) and we have a SPRING we cannot seem to re-locate. We know it connects to a bracket where the manifold support meets the block, but what does it connect to up top in the fuel system??
Since doing the head job and not relocating the spring, cold start is difficult and idle is lumpy, the 'economy' setting on the AUTO box doesn't work neither does kick-down and half-throttle cause the engine to die - which makes it difficult to hold speed.
ANY IDEAS?? Is it all down to this spring - if so - WHERE DOES IT GO???
