E320 Remote not working

E320 Remote not working

I have a co-woker that just bought a 96 E320 and the Remote Key is not working She has had a new battery installed but is still does not work. Is there a resync procedure that needs to be done to get it working again. She did not have the manual with her so I could not look it up. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
